A few minutes ago, news broke that Baylor’s backup QB, redshirt sophomore Jacob Zeno, had decided to enter the transfer portal. Reports started swirling this weekend that someone had decided to transfer, but Rivals had the news that it was Zeno first.
While it is obviously sad to hear that any player wants to leave Baylor for other opportunities, this is not exactly unexpected at this point. After being the favorite of many last season to get playing time in place of Charlie Brewer, Zeno competed for and lost the starting job this off-season to junior Gerry Bohanon, who has since solidified his hold on that job with stellar play.
