Baylor OC Kendal Briles applies for North Texas job

Five games into the 2015 college football season, the North Texas Mean Green parted ways with head coach Dan McCarney. Since then, there have been plenty of candidates linked to and interested in the job.

One of those in consideration has been Baylor Bears offensive coordinator Kendal Briles, the son of head coach Art Briles.

Now, Briles has basically confirmed he is interested in the gig.

According to the Dallas Morning News, Briles has submitted his resume for the position. He is one of 12 candidates to do so.

North Texas is hoping to install a wide open offense according to athletic director Rick Villarreal, so Briles would be a natural fit thanks to his time running the Bears potent offense.
