In what was probably the strangest game of the entire season, Baylor goes down to West Virginia 76-64. The first half saw the Bears jump out to a quick 9-0 lead only to have the Mountaineers go on a 19-2 run. Unfortunately, the Bears witnessed a series of events that haven’t been seen the whole season. In a span just a few minutes, the Bears saw two players (Mayer & Bandoo) get injured on the same play, saw Jared Butler miss a wide-open uncontested layup, and due to foul trouble had to play both Flo Thamba and Freddie Gillespie at the same time.
