Behind Terry Maston’s career-high 23 points, Baylor (12-11, 2-8) fell to Iowa State (13-9, 4-6) 81-67. Baylor still needs to go on a run to make the NCAA Tournament, but after losing four in a row, getting back in the win column is nice.

Baylor had a strong defensive first half. The Bears did a nice job blocking shots and held Iowa State to just .84 points per possession (PPP), which is worse than any offense in America averages. The Bears started hard hedging ball screens, and the Cyclones ended up turning it over nine times, an astronomical number for the Bears.
