Baylor assistants may have been trying to defend the name of their former boss Art Briles when they released their joint statement on Friday night, but they did nothing to notify their current head coach Jim Grobe about the statement until after it was already online.
This is what Grobe told reporters after the Bears' 62-22 loss to TCU on Saturday.
The Baylor assistants released a statement on social media Friday night refuting Baylor regents' claim that Briles was aware of a gang rape involving football players and a female student-athlete but did not alert the proper authorities.
