Former Texas A&M defensive end James Lockhart is transferring to Baylor, he announced on Twitter Wednesday.
He is the second Power Five transfer to choose Baylor under new head coach Matt Rhule. Former Arizona quarterback Anu Solomon committed to the Bears on Monday.
"From the bottom of my heart and the Lockhart family," Lockhart wrote, "we are so grateful for Coach Rhule for giving me a second chance to further my education and pursue the game I love."
Listed at 6-foot-3 and 260 pounds, Lockhart will redshirt in 2017 due to NCAA transfer rules.
