On Saturday, the Baylor Bears saw their chances of making the college football playoff take a serious hit when they were beaten at home by Big XII foe Oklahoma. In the polls that were released the following day, the Bears dropped down to No. 10 in both the coaches poll and the AP poll.
That spot may have been higher, except for the fact that one writer didn’t even have Baylor ranked at all in his Top 25. Jon Wilner, a college football writer for the San Jose (CA) Mercury News, completely dropped the Bears following Saturday’s game and took to social media to defend the move:
Dropped a team from my AP ballot.
