AD Ian McCaw says his resignation will help Baylor 'promote the unity, healing and restoration that must occur in order to move forward'

Baylor athletic director Ian McCaw will be leaving the school following the scandal that eventually got head football coach Art Briles fired.

Baylor 247Sports first reported the news. McCaw would later comment on his departure in a statement:

"After much reflection and prayer, I have decided that a change in athletics department leadership is in Baylor University's best interest in order to promote the unity, healing and restoration that must occur in order to move forward," he said in the statement.
