Here are five takeaways from Baylor's 35-31 win over Oklahoma State.
1. Missed opportunities
Baylor came out aggressive right from the start under backup quarterback Jalan McClendon, but they didn’t have any points to show for it in the first quarter.
On the Bears’ opening drive, they ran nine plays for 69 yards to Oklahoma State’s six-yard line and was on the cusp of taking an early lead. Then McClendon threw an interception in the end zone to end a prime scoring opportunity.
Then on Baylor’s next drive, the Bears again started with the ball on their own 25-yard line and this time they took it to Oklahoma State’s nine-yard line.
