Here are five takeaways from Baylor's media availability on Monday ahead of its Week 10 matchup with Oklahoma State.
1. Confidence in Jalan McClendon
Earlier this season, senior transfer Jalan McClendon was competing with incumbent sophomore Charlie Brewer for the starting quarterback spot.
Through all three nonconference games, head coach Matt Rhule mostly alternated Brewer and McClendon after every two drives before he eventually chose Brewer to be the starter.
McClendon got his first significant run since then during a blowout loss to West Virginia on Thursday and could start against Oklahoma State on Saturday with Brewer undergoing the concussion protocol.
