Here are three takeaways from No. 21 Baylor's 82-72 win over Kansas State on Wednesday night.
1. Inconsistent offense. Baylor used a balanced effort to get off to a quick start against Kansas State. All eight players who checked in during the first nine minutes of the first half scored a basket in that period. The Bears took a quick 21-8 lead over Kansas State.
Baylor hit seven of its first 10 shots and hit 48.3 percent of its shots in the first half. But from that point, the Bears had stretches of five missed shots and 1-for-7 shooting.
