Brewer is a clearly talented football player for the Bears, but he is not the only talented athlete in his family. Brewer's younger brother Cade is a tight end for Texas and his older brother Michael was a quarterback at Texas Tech and Virginia.
Their father Robert Brewer was last walk on to start for the Longhorns and start the Cotton Bowl.
