Since his arrival in Baltimore as the organization’s 122nd-overall pick in the 2015 draft, outside linebacker Za’Darius Smith has found himself in the shadow of Pernell McPhee, who left the franchise during free agency just a few weeks before that same draft.
While the similarities between the two players are uncanny – right down to their hair – McPhee has gone on to Chicago and, now, it’s Smith’s time to show his own identity, and to prove why he drew the interest of team officials who were looking for that hybrid type of player.
