If you're expecting a big splash from the Baltimore Ravens when free agency begins Wednesday, you will be disappointed. Again. That is, unless the Ravens' recent struggles change their philosophy on spending on other teams' free agents.
Since 2010, Baltimore has given more than $4 million in guaranteed money to just one free agent from another team, and that was Elvis Dumervil after the unexpected fax fiasco. This isn't to say the Ravens are cheap when it comes to free agency. In the past three years, Baltimore has paid $129.7 million in guaranteed money in free agency.
