BALTIMORE -- Baltimore Ravens safety Eric Weddle wouldn't entertain the thought of Joe Flacco missing a game after the starting quarterback suffered a concussion Thursday night.
"He'll be back. He's fine. He'll be ready," Weddle said after the Ravens' 40-0 win over the Miami Dolphins. "He's got 10 days [until the next game]. I'm not going to worry about him not being out there. He's one of the toughest guys I know."
The decision, however, isn't up to Flacco. His return must be cleared by a team that consists of a Ravens medical staff member, an independent neurological consultant and an independent neuropsychologist.
