Undrafted rookie Cory Morrissey walks away from Ravens, NFL, writes he was 'burnt out'

Cory Morrissey walked away from football, deciding not to play roughly an hour before what would have been his first NFL practice with the Ravens.

The undrafted former Iowa State defensive end had agreed to terms on a three-year rookie contract, but decided to not play prior to the Ravens' rookie minicamp.

A two-time honorable-mention All-Big 12 Conference selection, Morrissey had 51 tackles, six sacks, 8.5 tackles for a loss and four quarterback hurries last season as a captain for the Cyclones.

Morrissey attended the Ravens' meetings Friday morning before deciding to not play shortly before practice started.
