Tyus Bowser is an incredible athlete. His raw ability was on display in the Ravens first preseason game. Bowser flashed all over the field. He showed coverage skills, a rare trait for a rookie linebacker. He showed pass rush; Jaylen Hill’s first interception came via an under thrown ball. The ball was off target because Bowser hit Colt McCoy hard.
Bowser’s statistics tell a more mild story than his performance. He showed that he could do all three facets of the outside linebacker position. Bowser can play in space and defend the pass. He can make the quarterback pay and he hits hard.
