Tony Jefferson to miss the remainder of the season after suffering a torn ACL

After suffering a knee injury in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s matchup against Pittsburgh, starting safety Tony Jefferson will miss the remainder of the 2019-20 season. Head coach John Harbaugh announced that Jefferson suffered a torn ACL in his post-game presser.

It’s a mighty unfortunate injury for the seven-year veteran, as Jefferson’s third season in Baltimore has come to an end after just four full games. Many have scapegoated the 27-year-old for the team’s defensive struggles this season, but all of that chatter is irrelevant now.
