OWINGS MILLS, Md. -- The Baltimore Ravens placed wide receiver-returner Michael Campanaro on the physically unable to perform list Friday, when he reported to training camp.
Campanaro has been dealing with a toe injury that sidelined him for the final three weeks of offseason workouts. Last month, coach John Harbaugh said he didn't consider the injury to be a serious one.
"But it’s a nuisance for sure," Harbaugh said in June.
The Ravens are reportedly signing journeyman Griff Whalen, who can fill in for Campanaro at receiver as well as at returner.
