Texans offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik came to Houston from the 49ers where he was Kyle Shanahan’s passing game coordinator. Luckily, the Ravens have faced Mike McDaniel – another ex-49ers offensive assistant – and Shanahan himself in recent weeks, so they’ll be familiar with some of the concepts the Texans will throw at them.
That includes a scripted opening drive, something the Ravens struggled with against the Dolphins and the 49ers, giving up an explosive play in both games.
