In the fourth and final edition of ‘The Chronicles of Joe Flacco,’ I analyzed Flacco’s performance during weeks 14 through 17. Aside from the first half against the Bengals in week 17, Flacco was impressive in this stretch.
Flacco’s footwork and decision-making improved in this span, but his accuracy and touch were still inconsistent. He still checked it down far too often as opposed to attacking to intermediate to deep areas of the field. In these four games, Flacco’s 6.15 yards per attempt was still among the league’s worst in this stretch. He threw for 997 yards, seven touchdowns, and two interceptions, while also adding a rushing touchdown.
