Tale of the Tape: Perfect the Enemy of Good for Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens had two drives against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday – their first and last of the 2nd half – that encapsulate the problems plaguing their offense.

The run game is still working, especially the bread and butter designed runs for Lamar Jackson. Greg Roman has thrown some fun new zone concepts into the mix to maximize the ability of Ronnie Stanley and Tyler Linderbaum to block on the move.

But the Ravens just can’t get into rhythm in the air, forcing them back to the ground game.

Roman’s play calling, especially with a lead, continues to be predictable and therefore easy to stop, while Jackson is missing open receivers either with his eyes or arm.
