According to a report from ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, the Baltimore Ravens are finalizing a contract extension for Offensive Coordinator Todd Monken. Reactions from the Beatdown staff are below.
The addition of Monken amplified Lamar Jackson in his first season, and earned him MVP. In Year 2 under Monken, he delivered yet another MVP season and the offensive became record-setting. The Ravens needed to retain Monken, but it wasn’t up to them with regard to other teams calling. Fortunately, Monken is returning to lead a star-offense into the “3.0” version Head Coach John Harbaugh expressed excitement for at the end-of-season press conference.
