Following the addition of Kirk Cousins in Atlanta, Falcons quarterback Desmond Ridder has been traded to the Arizona Cardinals for wide receiver Rondale Moore, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Thursday.
Ridder started 17 games for Atlanta over the past two seasons, throwing for 3,544 yards with 14 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.
Ridder had been named the Falcons' starting quarterback before the 2023 season, but he was benched twice in favor of Taylor Heinicke.
One of Ridder's biggest issues last season was ball security: In addition to 12 interceptions in 2023, he also had 12 fumbles.
