Free-agent running back Bernard Pierce has been suspended by the NFL for the first two weeks of the 2016 season, a source told ESPN's Field Yates.
There was no official word on the reason for the suspension. Pierce pleaded guilty to a DUI charge last October and was placed on probation for one year.
The Jacksonville Jaguars claimed Pierce off waivers last March after he was cut by the Baltimore Ravens following his DUI arrest.
Pierce, who turns 26 on May 10, missed the final seven games of the 2015 season with a calf injury.
