As our collective propensity has grown for constructing and dissecting lists concerning nearly every subject matter on this spinning globe, the infatuation for people trying to guess the Ravens initial 53-man roster has turned into a popular game unto itself.
And before we go forward with this, let’s take a second to just appreciate the “initial” part of this game. As Russell Street Report’s Michael Crawford so poignantly pointed out on Twitter the other day, the Ravens — and every other team in the league, for that matter — will weed their roster down to the 53 players they are supposed to roster at the given deadline, and then proceed to tweak and change it as injuries, performance and the availability of outside players all continue to evolve.
