Ravens running back Kenneth Dixon’s knee injury and resulting surgery was worse than originally reported, according to the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Dixon had his medial meniscus repaired – not trimmed – on Tuesday, which comes with a four- to five-month recovery instead of six to eight weeks.
If true, the injury would reportedly knock Dixon out for the entire season.
The bad news for #Ravens RB Kenneth Dixon is that his season is over. But long-term, meniscus repairs can hold up better than trims.

It’s a painful development for a talented second-year player and for the Ravens, who will hold their first full-team training camp practice Thursday.
