Report: Ravens Reach New Contract With Martindale

It appears the Baltimore Ravens have signed their defensive coordinator to a new contract.

ESPN reporter and WBAL contributor Jamison Hensley quotes sources who say the Ravens signed Don "Wink" Martindale to a new three year contract this week.

Hensley reports the deal makes Martindale the highest paid defensive coordinator in the NFL.

Martindale interviewed for the head coaching job with the New York Giants last month and was expected to be considered for other head coaching vacancies after next season.

Martindale has been defensive coordinator for two seasons.

In 2018, the Ravens defense ranked first in the NFL.
