It was an eventful weekend for the Baltimore Ravens as they had to trim their 90-man roster down to 53 players by Saturday at 4:00 pm ET.
Quarterback Robert Griffin III was not among those cuts as he made the team in addition to Lamar Jackson and Joe Flacco, which marked the first time since 2009 that the Ravens kept three quarterbacks on the 53-man roster.
This move may have come as a shock to some as Griffin III’s roster chances were ever-changing throughout the preseason. However, he put together solid performances in the exhibition games to secure a spot, and head coach John Harbaugh has backed Griffin III throughout training camp and the preseason.
