OWINGS MILLS, Md. -- Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco has been criticized for not being a vocal leader. He has been chided for not showing much emotion.
What often gets overlooked is what Flacco doesn't say. During a season when not much has gone right, Flacco has remained a voice of encouragement despite constant pressure on his blind side, dropped passes and errant shotgun snaps.
"He's never the type to curse someone out or embarrass someone," said backup center John Urschel, whose wild snaps kept Flacco on his toes. "He's a Godsend.
