This week on The Scott Garceau Show I likened Sunday’s game to the Monday Night game at M&T Bank Stadium on December 3, 2007 when the (4-7) Ravens hosted the (11-0) Patriots. It was a blustery night with swirling snow flurries as the 18 1/2 point underdog hosts balled out and gave the Patriots all they could handle before they could escape to Boston with a 27-24 and an unblemished (12-0) record, courtesy of an ill-advised timeout from then defensive coordinator Rex Ryan.
The timeout negated what would have likely been a turnover on downs during a 4th and 1 play with 1:48 remaining in the game.
