The most recent quarterback news for the Baltimore Ravens does not involve QB Joe Flacco, nor Colin Kaepernick. Rather, the Ravens have waived QB Dustin Vaughan and signed free agent QB Thaddeus Lewis.
The contract details haven’t been released, but I presume this to be another ‘camp-arm’ move. The Ravens don’t have money for any big-name players, and Thad Lewis brings a veteran presence for cheap.
Thad Lewis has played all over the league over the past seven years. He’s bounced around from seven different teams. He’s by no means a quarterback we expect to carry past the final preseason game, but he’s a camp arm to continue reps for second, third and fourth stringers.
