Late Monday night, reports announced the Baltimore Ravens signed pass rusher Yannick Ngakoue from the practice squad to their active roster. With their roster at 53 players after activating rookie running back Rasheen Ali on Saturday, they needed to make a coinciding move. According to the team, they waived former 2023 sixth-round pick Malaesala Aumavae-Laulu.
‘Sala’ was pick No. 199 for the Ravens in 2023 and was expected to develop into a starting guard. In his rookie season, he contended with veteran John Simpson for the starting role, but lost the starting gig after struggling in consecutive preseason games.
