The Baltimore Ravens fell to New Orleans 24-23 in Week 7. The offense executed well enough and out-gained the Saints in yardage. But the defense struggled to get off the field, allowing 10 third or fourth down conversions that led to a seven minute time-of-possession disadvantage. Ultimately, special teams failed the Ravens in the game’s final moments.
‘Smokey’ corralled a 13-yard pass on fourth down to keep the chains moving in route to the Ravens first score. Then his beautiful 56-yard catch-and-run set up the second quarter touchdown. Brown re-emerged later in the game with a long gain on Baltimore’s second to last drive before securing what should have been a game-tying touchdown.
