The fourth week of preseason games, known as the battle of the backups, never elicits much excitement. It doesn’t help matters when you’re going up against the opening day of college football either. But Ravens fans tired of seeing the team get blown out the last two weeks were likely pleased to see a competitive game Thursday night.
The Ravens played reasonably well but had a difficult time putting points on the board until late in the game, when third quarterback Bryn Renner tossed a pair of touchdown passes. A failed 2 point attempt cost the Ravens the victory, a move that they probably wouldn’t have made had this been a regular season game.
