The Ravens worked quickly to find a potential pass-rushing replacement for Terrell Suggs, agreeing Tuesday to a one-year deal with veteran Jason Babin, according to league sources.
Babin, an 11-year veteran with 62.5 career sacks and two Pro Bowl selections on his resume, worked out for team officials Tuesday in the Bay Area, where the Ravens are preparing this week to play the Oakland Raiders on Sunday. The Ravens finalized the deal, which is for the veterans minimum, after the workout.
Shaun Phillips, another veteran pass rusher, also worked out for the team, but the Ravens opted to sign Babin, who had two sacks in part-time duty with the New York Jets last season.
