The Ravens have officially signed quarterback Ryan Mallett.
According to multiple reports, the deal also extends through the 2016 season.
The Ravens released Bryn Renner to make room for Mallett on the 53-man roster. Renner was Jimmy Clausen’s backup Sunday against the Seahawks.
Mallett worked out for the Ravens on Dec. 2, but was not immediately signed. There were reports Monday that he was going to sign with Baltimore, but it still wasn’t a done deal at that point.
“He had some personal things that he had to work through,” Head Coach John Harbaugh said Monday.
