According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Baltimore Ravens have signed rookie quarterback/wide receiver hybrid Malik Cunningham.
Cunningham, 25, went undrafted to the Patriots this year after a five-year career as a Louisville Cardinal. At Louisville, Cunningham totaled 9,664 passing yards on 62.6% completion, with 70 touchdowns to 29 interceptions. Like Lamar Jackson before him, he’s a dual-threat quarterback who slashed into defenses, totaling 3,182 yards and 50(!) rushing touchdowns on 5.1 yards per carry.
When the Patriots landed Cunningham, he was primarily used as a wide receiver throughout the Spring and Summer. After being cut by the Patriots during roster cutdowns, he was brought back to their practice squad in early September.
