Jamison Hensley of ESPN reported this morning that the Ravens signed a lefty punter, Michael Palardy. Palardy attended college at Tennessee where he served as both a punter and a place kicker. He is entering his second season in the NFL, following bouncing around between the Raiders, Rams, Panthers and now Ravens. The Ravens added Palardy to fill the 90th spot on the roster that was left vacant when the Jake Long deal fell through due to concerns over past injuries.
Palardy will likely be used not only as depth if something were to happen to Justin Tucker or Sam Koch, but he is here to give Tucker and Koch rest during training camp as well as the preseason.
