OWINGS MILLS, Md. -- The Baltimore Ravens made a change at reserve inside linebacker on Tuesday, signing Steven Johnson and releasing Jonathan Freeny.
Johnson, 29, is a six-year veteran who's played for the Denver Broncos, Tennessee Titans and Pittsburgh Steelers. He made an appearance in one game for the Steelers this season before being released on Sept. 23.
This is primarily a special teams move. Freeny, who was signed three weeks ago, made two tackles on coverage teams in three games. He didn't play a defensive snap.
