On the cusp of September, the journey to narrow the roster to 53 players has started. This Tuesday is the deadline to have the roster down to 75 players from 90. The Ravens kicked it off by cutting a cornerback:
Jacobs, an undrafted free agent out of Texas A&M spent most of the 2014 season on the Ravens practice squad, until he was elevated to the roster when the Ravens redid their secondary on the fly in the middle of the season. However, Jacobs did not see much game action, as the team chose to go with more seasoned players like Anthony Levine, Danny Gorrer, and Rashaan Melvin.
