The Baltimore Ravens have reportedly declined the fifth-year option on linebacker Patrick Queen, making him a free agent following the 2023 season.
According to NFL Network's Ian Rappaport, Queen will enter next season in a contract year. The fifth-year option would have paid him $12.72 million for the 2024 season. However, the trade and signing of Roquan Smith and the drafting of Trenton Simpson out of Clemson in the 2023 NFL draft signals the end of Queen's tenure after this season.
The former first-round pick in 2020, Queen was selected 28th overall and was considered one of the better inside linebacker prospects in his draft class.
