For the first time in his career, safety Lardarius Webb won't be wearing a Baltimore Ravens uniform next season.
The Ravens released Webb Friday, according to multiple reports. The move, which frees up $5.5 million in cap space, was largely expected after Thursday's signing of former Cardinals safety Tony Jefferson.
Webb spent the last eight seasons with the Ravens, who drafted him out of Nicholls State. Webb started his career at cornerback before converting to free safety with the 2016 season. He started all 16 games, notching 59 total tackles, one sack and one interception.
