The Baltimore Ravens on Wednesday announced they have released veteran cornerback Tavon Young.
Young, 27, spent six seasons in Baltimore and was viewed as one of the leaders when on the field.
Young's career, however, has been plagued by injuries. The veteran suffered from three different season-ending injuries. Young missed the entire 2017 season (knee), 2019 season (neck) and only participated in two games during the 2020 season (knee).
Despite the plethora of injuries, Young participated in every game of the 2021 season. He started in seven games, notched an interception, had two sacks and 35 combined tackles.
