The Baltimore Ravens placed offensive tackle Eugene Monroe on injured reserve, waived backup guard Kaleb Johnson and promoted quarterback Bryn Renner and wide receiver Chris Matthews from the practice squad on Saturday.
Monroe hasn't practiced the past three weeks after injuring his shoulder in the Nov. 22 game against St. Louis. He has missed 12 of 30 games (including playoffs) since signing his five-year, $37.5 million deal before the 2014 season.
The next question with Monroe is whether he has played his last snap with the Ravens. If Baltimore cuts him, the Ravens would free up $2.
