With the 170th overall pick, the Baltimore Ravens select the Texas Tech defensive tackle product, Broderick Washington.
Washington is a player of great character, which fits the mold of a Raven. Washington was a durable three-year starter at Texas Tech and projects to be a 3-4 defensive end at the next level. He has very aggressive hands and has the potential to be a rotational interior pass-rusher early on.
The addition of Washington along with Justin Madubuike puts extra pressure on the younger guys along the defensive line, specifically Daylon Mack, who was drafted last year.
