Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti preaches continuity even though 'pitchforks are out'

OWINGS MILLS, Md. -- After the Baltimore Ravens missed the playoffs for the third time in four seasons, owner Steve Bisciotti acknowledged the increased scrutiny from his fan base.

"The pitchforks are out," Bisciotti said at Tuesday's hour-long "State of the Ravens" news conference.

But Bisciotti made it clear he isn't carrying one.

For the second straight offseason, Bisciotti is preaching continuity over change. He expressed confidence in coach John Harbaugh, general manager Ozzie Newsome and quarterback Joe Flacco to turn this team back into a playoff one.

"I didn't get where I was by just firing people," Bisciotti said.
