Ravens not saying whether Joe Flacco will play in preseason opener

OWINGS MILLS, Md. -- Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh is already in regular-season mode, declining to say whether quarterback Joe Flacco will play in Thursday night's preseason opener.

"We've decided about everybody," Harbaugh said when it comes to who is and isn't playing. "But I'm not going to make any announcements. We're just going to play the game."

The Ravens will likely err on the side of caution with Flacco, who tore his anterior cruciate and medial collateral ligaments in his left knee nine months ago. He typically only plays a series or two anyway, and his starting left tackle Ronnie Stanley could be sidelined with a soft-tissue injury.
