SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- The Baltimore Ravens are trailing at halftime 16-6 because they are making life too easy for 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick.
Kaepernick, who has struggled for most of the season, has thrown for 225 yards in the first half. That's more than what he has produced for three entire games this season.
The Ravens' pass defense, which has had problems with the likes of Derek Carr and Josh McCown, allowed too many open receivers for Kaepernick, who averaged 18.7 yards per completion. The worst play for the Ravens secondary came in the second quarter, when former 49ers cornerback Shareece Wright was beaten badly on a 76-yard touchdown pass to former Ravens receiver Torrey Smith.
