OWINGS MILLS, Md. -- The Baltimore Ravens could be without cornerback Jimmy Smith and linebacker Elvis Dumervil for Sunday's game at the Dallas Cowboys after expressing optimism that they would play.
Smith (back) and Dumervil (foot) are both listed as doubtful, which is defined by the NFL as "unlikely to play."
The loss of Smith would be a major one for Baltimore. He would match up with Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant.
On Wednesday, coach John Harbaugh said Smith "should be out there Sunday." Smith didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday but participated in Friday's walkthrough on a limited basis.
